Managing teammates and roles
Add or remove teammates in CleanLog and set each role. Owners manage the account, managers run assigned locations, and cleaners see their own work.
Updated
Add teammates, pick a role for each, and remove anyone who leaves. The role decides what they see and change: owners manage the account, managers run assigned locations, and cleaners see only their own work. CleanLog pricing is based on locations, not shared logins.
How do I add a teammate?
Invite them by email from the Team area, then pick a role.
- Open Team and choose to invite a new member.
- Enter their email address.
- Pick their role: cleaner, manager, or owner.
- Send the invite.
They get an email with a link to set a password and join your account. Invite people before you assign work, so there is someone to assign it to. For the fuller onboarding walkthrough, see inviting your team.
What can each role do?
Roles control how much of the operation a person sees and changes.
- Owner: full access. Manages billing, settings, every location, and the whole team.
- Manager: runs day-to-day operations. Builds schedules, assigns cleaners, raises work orders, and reviews time across the locations they manage. No billing access.
- Cleaner: sees their own work only. Their shifts, the work orders assigned to them, and clock in and out on mobile.
Keep billing with owners. Give managers enough to run their sites. Scope cleaners to their own work so the mobile app stays simple.
Does adding teammates cost more?
No. CleanLog is priced per location, so adding a teammate does not move your plan band. Adding a site is what can change the plan.
That means there is no reason to share logins or leave people off. Put every cleaner on their own account so hours, assignments, and evidence stay tied to the right person. For how location-based pricing works, see choosing a plan and billing.
How do I change someone’s role?
Open the person in Team and change their role. The new access applies right away. Move a cleaner up to manager when they take on a site, or move a manager down if their scope changes.
Changing a role only changes access. It does not touch the person’s past records. Their clocked hours and completed work orders stay exactly as they were.
How do I remove a teammate?
Open the person in Team and remove them. They can no longer sign in, but their past records stay intact. Clocked hours and completed work orders remain on the books for payroll and audit.
Remove a leaver the day they go, so no inactive account holds access. Because removal keeps history, you never lose the record of work they did before they left.
Where to go next
Get your cleaners running on their phones with inviting your team. Confirm your plan covers your sites in choosing a plan and billing, or compare plans on pricing.
