Choose an area checklist

Six walks for offices, malls and MCST estates in Singapore. Read the checks on the page or download the editable CSV to adapt to your site.

How the checklists work

Every checklist follows the same three steps, so a supervisor can walk any area the same way.

  1. Walk the area, element by element

Each checklist lists the elements in one area, such as a basin or a door handle, with the outcome you expect to find and where to look. Agree the sample and the inspection timetable with the buyer before the first walk.

  2. Grade each element Pass or Fail

Divide the elements passed by the elements inspected and multiply by 100. Elements marked N/A count in neither number. Aligned with SS 694:2023 clause 6.1.

  3. Agree the passing limit

The contract sets the limit. SS 694:2023 Annex A.3 recommends 70 to 80 percent for commercial premises. If your contract quotes an AQL as a fault allowance, a 20 percent allowance means 80 percent must pass.
