CleanLog at IOTE Shenzhen: From Data to Action

Narrated from this CleanLog article.
The CleanLog team attended IOTE 2026 in Shenzhen to meet existing partners and explore new collaborations across sensors, IoT and robotics.
We came away with a clear takeaway: collecting more data is only useful if it helps someone decide what to do next. For cleaning operations, that means connecting what is happening at a site with the people and equipment that can respond.
From a sensor reading to a completed task
A sensor can report a change in conditions. A supervisor still needs to know whether it needs attention, who should respond and whether the work was completed. Those steps are where software can make a practical difference.
Consider a possible workflow for a busy washroom. A sensor indicates that a bin may need emptying. That signal could prompt a task for the team responsible for the area. A cleaner checks the bin, completes the work and records the outcome. The supervisor can then see what happened without chasing a separate message.
This is an example of the kind of connected workflow we want to support. It is not an announcement that this particular sensor integration is available today.
The useful result is a clear sequence: a signal, a decision, an assigned action and a record of the response. Over time, those records could also help teams review whether their cleaning schedules match the needs of the site.
Where robots fit
Cleaning robots have a role in suitable tasks, alongside frontline teams. The coordination matters: teams need to know what work a robot is handling, what still needs a person and when something needs attention.
Our interest is in how sensors, software and robots can work together within daily operations. A connected system should make the next action clearer for the people running the site.
What this means for CleanLog Connect
That is the direction we are building towards with CleanLog Connect. We want information from connected devices to help teams identify issues, coordinate a response and keep a useful record of the work.
The Shenzhen visit gave us an opportunity to discuss that direction with existing partners and potential collaborators. We are continuing to explore the partnerships and integrations that can support it, and will share specific capabilities as they become available.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to meet us at IOTE.
